What do I need to run Gaussian.ai?

A Mac running macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Analysis features use the internet; everything else works offline.

How does the AI part work?

When you analyze a task, the app asks a large language model to score its impact against your stated priorities and propose concrete next steps. Requests go directly from your Mac to the model provider, with your protected names pseudonymized first. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Is there a limit to how much I can analyze?

The free tier includes a generous daily allowance of analyses (it resets at midnight UTC). If you hit it, the app tells you plainly rather than failing mysteriously.

Where is my data?

On your Mac, encrypted. You can export all of it or delete all of it from the About You panel at any time.

Something looks stuck or wrong

First aid: quit and reopen the app. If a task analysis fails repeatedly, check your internet connection, then email us with the exact error text — screenshots help.
