A friendly mentor, one step at a time
Capture tasks the way they arrive in your head — “fix car,” “sort out mom's thing.” Gaussian asks what a good mentor would, then offers three to five ways forward; pick one and it's locked in. Did it? Nice — it joins your checked-off steps, and Gaussian helps you pick the next move from there, bit by bit until the thing is done. Big endeavours become projects with their own progress; related strays get gathered into one, with your blessing. And it's grounded in your real life: it knows you don't drive, it knows who Sarah is, it notices what's been sitting, and it learns your world as you go — the way a mentor who's known you for years would.

The 49-point day
Every task carries an impact score; your day is a curve that fills as you bank them. Four vital tasks fill it — so do nine average ones. Clear 50 and you're off the charts. Leverage finds your biggest wins per minute; Stale Bread calls out what you've been pretending to intend.
Your life never leaves your device
Protected names — and every email, phone number, and street address, automatically — are swapped for pseudonyms before anything touches the network. Sensitive fields are opt-in, any note can be locked away from the AI entirely, and you can open “What the AI sees” and read the receipts yourself. We run no servers that ever see your tasks.

A good mentor's first question isn't "what's on your list?" — it's "what are you trying to build?" Two settings hold your answer, and everything else follows from them.
North Star — WHAT matters
Two or three sentences on what you're actually building: the family you want to be present for, the practice you're growing, the shape you're getting into. Every impact score is weighed against it. A task that serves your North Star climbs the curve — and one that serves nothing gets asked, politely, why it's on your list at all.
Anchors — HOW you operate
Up to seven values you won't trade away — honesty, punctuality, family dinners, craft. If the North Star is the destination, anchors are how you sail. They shape every suggestion the app makes: an honest operator never gets a corner-cutting next step, and a family-dinners person never gets one that books over 6pm.
